Meet Katie:

Katie is an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner based out of Washington DC; specializing in the gut microbiome. In practice, Katie focuses on educating her patients on the pathophysiology of their conditions, reviewing comprehensive lab work and emphasizing lifestyle, diet and supplement support when appropriate. Katie aims to address the root causes of autoimmune disease, acid reflux, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth, candida overgrowth, food sensitivities and leaky gut, amongst other diagnoses.

 

Her Education:

Katie graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in biology. Following completion of her degree, Katie chose to follow a close passion of hers by pursuing a Masters degree in nutrition at Sage Graduate School in Upstate New York. Combining her dual degrees to promote the overall wellness of others became her primary focus as a practitioner.
